Privacy Policy

This page explains what this site collects, why, and who else can see it. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past.

What is collected

  • Server logs. The hosting provider records IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. These are standard access logs used for security and troubleshooting, and they rotate out on the host’s schedule.
  • Comments. If commenting is open and you leave one, the name, email address, and comment text you submit are stored, along with your IP and browser string. Your email is not published.
  • Email you send. If you write to the contact address, that message and address sit in an ordinary mailbox until the thread is finished.

There are no accounts and no newsletter on this site, so nothing is collected for those.

Cookies

A plain visit sets no cookies beyond what WordPress needs. Leaving a comment stores your name and email in a cookie so you do not retype them; that is optional and you can clear it in your browser. Logging in as an administrator sets session cookies.

Embedded content from other sites

Articles embed video from official broadcaster and agency channels, mostly YouTube. Embedded players behave exactly as if you had visited that site directly: the provider can set its own cookies and track the interaction under its own policy, which this site does not control.

Analytics and advertising

If and when analytics or advertising are added, they will be Google products (Google Analytics, Google AdSense), and Google may use cookies to measure traffic and serve ads. You can review and change what Google collects at My Ad Center and How Google uses data from partner sites. This section will be updated with the specifics on the day either is switched on.

What is never done

  • Your email address is not sold, rented, or handed to advertisers.
  • No data is collected from anyone who identifies as under 13.
  • No attempt is made to identify individual readers from server logs.

Your choices

Write to mhthai1979@gmail.com to ask what is held about you, to have a comment or its personal data removed, or to have an email thread deleted. Requests are handled within 30 days. Readers in the EU/UK, California, and Korea have statutory rights along these lines; this site applies the same handling to everyone regardless of where you are.

Changes

Material changes will be reflected here with a new review date rather than applied quietly.
